1. Godfather II, but Network is a very close second.
Both absolute classics in every possible way.

4. Agreed. That was my initial reaction, but I voted 'Network' because it didn't have any votes. n/t

3. Tough choice for me between 'Network' and 'All About Eve.'
These are two of my all time favorite movies. I went with 'Eve' just because it contained career defining performances for not one but two great actors (Bette Davis and George Sanders).

A very hard call.

5. WOW! Cool poll!!!
Edited on Thu Nov-30-06 01:17 AM by some guy
much better than the intrinsic rights polls... :eyes:

I've seen six of these films; missed the two-word-title films.

I saw Network on the big screen, but not since. I should watch that again some time.

I really like All About Eve; maybe that's what I should vote for.

But... "I coulda been a contenduh..."

I'll give this more thought...

I have fellipsis :)

7. Tom Jones, of whom it was said, "He was born to be hanged."
Reminds me to pick up a DVD while it's still available.

10. For one example, The Godfather pt. II received these nominations:
Best actor: Al Pacino
Best supporting actor: Robert DeNiro
Best supporting actor: Michael V. Gazzo
Best supporting actor: Lee Strasberg
Best supporting actress: Talia Shire

Of those 5, the only one that actually won their category was Robert DeNiro.

11. glad I posted in this yesterday.
it reminded me to come back and actually vote (for Eve)

If Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolff had had another actor, it might have been able to be in this poll; all four of the characters were nominated for that film. (But I didn't like it all that well, personally.)
