I was reading GD tonight before the show and this site immediately popped into my head again; I still crack up at the descriptions...

4. GD has been especially "interesting" lately. |
|
I hang out in GD a lot, but there are some posts I just don't bother with, if you know what I mean.
How're things up your way? It's been so freakin' cold here the past few days! Snow, ice, brrrrrrr! Supposed to start warming up to the balmy 40's in the next day or so, thank goodness!

We've been freezing here lately; -40F wind chills and snow the past couple of weeks. We get the Spokane stations up here on cable so I've seen how much snow Seattle and Vancouver have been getting; that's gotta be a record! I hope the traffic hasn't been too bad; I know what it's like to see people who have never drien in snow try to drive in it..

7. People around here definitely don't know how to drive in snow. |
|
And it doesn't help that the whole city is built on glacial ridges! I'm fortunate; I work from home, and only occasionally have appointments out. Cancelled the one I had this week, so I could stay inside and safe.
But -40F???? Gad! Now THAT is cold!

When it's that cold you get ice fog, which is incredibly creepy to see, even in the city. And you pretty much have to be dressed up like a mummy to go outside, but I still see guys riding bikes around, which is nuts!

us with her letters describing the process of getting dressed warmly enough to go out and get the mail. She loved living there, but now she lives in Florida!

I actually got banned from a website for posting that link. I posted it but instead of leaving it on the main page, I accidentaly posted the link to the admin page, (on a gymnastics board) and the admin thought I was slamming them and banned me, lol. It can be caustic

I've been around n the net since the early 90's and fought it out on USENET for years; I think I've seen every one of the warriors in my time. And it goes w/o saying that I've been a few of them, too:)
