Update on Gracie. Today was surgery day.
Gracie came through the procedure fine. She had a lot of fluid and infection behind her ear drum. It's been suctioned out and she'll be on antibiotics for another week to be sure infection doesn't come back before her eardrum heals over. Hopefully now she'll return to her usual "I am royalty" self.

:)

3. Me too!
We're putting the tree up this weekend. If she's really feeling better, she'll be climbing that tree in no time. :)

4. Is this your Sheltie?
They punctured her eardrum to get the fluid out and it will heal back over and it was only one ear that was involved. If both are involved, it's probably an allergy thing. Has your dog been tested? Have you switched the food?

Just some suggestions from the cheap seats.

15. Aussie are my second favorite dog
My ex-MIL has a dog with chronic ear problems. Drops twice a day, every day. They've made her deaf, unfortunately. :(

7. Thank you!
She's my little red-headed spitfire. More attitude than a 7 pound body should have, but I wouldn't have her any other way.

8. I never thought I'd be discussing tubes
with a vet like I did when Lelapin was 2 and had tubes put in her ears.

Too bizarre, but it's a good ending.

13. Excellent!!
Very happy for you and Her Royal Highness.

And I am recalling your "transmission" incident a few weeks back...

I am sure this surgery was not inexpensive, yet you seem to be taking it in stride. I am very happy you are in a better place now.

14. The vet's agreed to take payments
as I just paid $380 to have 150 gallons of heating oil delivered. (150 gallons is the minimum they'll deliver...)

Are you around later this evening? I need to write a cover letter to be considered for ANY position in the new Secretary of State's admin here in Ohio. That's much different than writing a cover letter and resume tailored to a specific job description.

:)

19. I agree!
She's been sick for at least 3 months now and I'm glad there's an end in sight.

:)

Did Lelapin tell you about her final yesterday? :( And losing her id? It was not a good day.
