Should I go for it? Is the game any good?

There are some people at work I communicate with often by instant messaging throughout the day and they want me to take my droll comments and hang with them. Should I abandon DU for ten days and play with my little friends?

Warcraft is like crack. I have two level 60 characters. There is an expansion coming up which will raise the level cap to 70. You people will never see me again. LoL. I also have about 8 other various level characters.

Seriously. It is an awesome game. Very addicting. Easy peasy up until about level 20 to solo. After that you really need to find a group or a guild to hang out with. If I wasn't here right now, I would be there, but I'm trying to cut down my time. Plus I'm a bit burnt out right now.

So I'd say go for it. It's just a trial. If you don't like it, you've got nothing to lose. If you get hooked, you have $15/month to say bye-bye to.

I feel bad for getting a couple of my friends started on their WoW addictions. I've come to feel that for many people, it's just too obsessive.

And come January 15, I won't be seen ever again either.

2. I'm going to give it a try when the new expansion pack comes out

in January, I think.

I've been playing Asheron's Call for 7 years and lost quite a few friends to that game.

3. I played it from its UK launch in Feb '05.

It sucked up over a year of my life until I forced myself to stop playing. The game consumed me.

Only play it if you want it to become your life.
