i hate the way sponges smell
after they've been used...just for dishes, but it makes me :puke:

2. I always bleach mine after.
Just a little bit of bleach in an inch or two of hot water in the sink, then let the sponge sit in it for a few minutes.

At least it kills the ick.

i have a dishwasher, but certain items are hand-wash only....oh, the trials of being a foodie :)

So I quit using them altogether. I now use washcloths that can be thrown in the washing machine.
