Can someone make my headache go away? |
|
I've had a freakin' tension headache for two days now. It's not severe, but it's enough to bother me a lot, and I feel a bit nauseated. Most of it is in the back of my neck, as well as in my head. I'm getting quite bored with it.

Guaranteed. Prolly put ya to sleep.
But, since I'm not... Excedrin's all that'll work on my tension headaches.
Well, wait. Vicodin's nice, too. :7

Always helps LTwife. And the "side effects" can be downright pleasant! Hope you get better soon!

Clear your mind of all problems. Think of all the beauty of the place you live. The mountains, the coastline, the forest-OMFG y'all have the most beautiful forests on he planet!
"The bluest skies you ever seen are in Seattle, And the hills the greenest green in Seattle. Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild, Full of hope and full of fear, full of laughter, Full of fear, full of dreams to last the years
In Seattle.
Hope that helps!

Wish I had some of those "tension headache" aspirin, but alas, no pain killers in the house. However, lounge vibes, AND Peggy Love, will certainly help. :loveya:  :loveya:

11. Is it possibly a caffeine hangover??? |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-01-06 03:28 AM by chknltl
I absolutely hate those.... They develop from drinking lots of caffeine over a period of days then stopping....headaches start within 24 hours and last about 2 days. Lotsa sufferers are unaware of this problem. (I mention this just in case you are one of those folks). Mine were provoked by a 2-a-day vanilla latte addiction. They are yummy but for me they have to be in strict moderation: no more than 1 per week. I am no doc but if the problem persists you might consider seeking medical help. Good luck SG (ps try a drinking a pint or so of water...that sometimes helps)

17. Try drinking water... |
|
My chiropractor told me that some headaches are often brought on by plain ol' water depletion. (He was a big fan of daily water hydration)

18. I drink a fair amount of water on a daily basis. |
|
I think it is more related to something I've been stressing over for a couple of days; something I thought I could take care of today, but it ended up I couldn't.

Haven't done that particular activity in over 30 years. The chocolate suggestion from enigmatic seems to be helping quite a bit, though. :hi:

16. I'll trade you for my sinus infection . . . |
|
I don't think I can do much for a tension headache from this distance.
try putting some tennis balls in a sock and rolling them between your neck and shoulders and a high-backed chair

I'll take the headache over the infection, but I will give you a hug; it's all I can offer right now. Hope your symptoms ease soon.

25. heating pad behind your neck might help |
|
and a good cup of coffee. I used to get those things a lot, they would settle in the back of my neck and make me very sick. After I had a hysterectomy they went away; they were definitely horomonally driven and then aggravated by life stresses.

26. Lydia's headache remedies |
|
1. Shoulder and neck massage by someone who knows how to find the "knots" and knead them out. (Not everyone has that kind of body sense.)
2. The hottest shower you can stand with the water directed at your head and neck (be careful not to pass out from the heat).
3. Coffee
4. Tylenol sinus, the kind you have to get from behind the counter
