So is the whole country covered in snow except Delaware
Everyone is talking about all this snow they are getting and yet it's a pretty decent day again here in Delaware. What's up?

11. I remember the day well
the 22nd of December 1989, a veritable "blizzard" in New Orleans (actually just a few flurries) but the locals thought it was the end of the world. I remember it well because I was stuck on the sixth floor of a parking garage and couldn't get out because traffic was at a standstill all over town. It took me four hours to get home 30 miles away. A couple of Christmas' ago we got a bunch of sleet here in South Mississippi which made everything white for a short while.

26. that was no just a few flurries in my neighborhood
we had accumulation, a true white christmas or white "yule" if you like, i have photos somewhere because i knew it wouldn't be believed

all other so-called snow storms i have seen on the south shore have indeed been these flurries, that do not stick, and would doubtless be called not snow but freezing rain or sleet elsewhere in the south

but 1989 was a real snowstorm, at least in my hood

it did START as sleet/flurries and stay that way for quite awhile

29. I enjoyed it
but after visiting my in-laws in North Kansas around Christmas for 20+ years, I thought the 89 blizzard in NOLA was just a fun afternoon. I recall in 1977 going to my inlaws, parking our car on the east side of their house and not seeing it for a week because it was completely covered with snow. We had to dig it out when it was time to leave.

so there.

Who wants to fucking live in Indiana anyways? If your state doesn't have at least an ocean or some mountains we should just get rid of it

23. Excellent point
Last wednesday I drove along Highway 90 from Biloxi west through Gulfport. It still looks like a war zone with many of the businesses still all tore up which was such a contrast to the Gulf of Mexico which looked so serene and welcoming. I drove right by my turnoff to the CB base. I always turned at the Domino's which was right next to a Chinese Restaurant. They ain't there no more. My favorite thing about Mississippi is that its close to Louisiana.

This whole "equal representation in the Senate" nonsense should have never been written into the Constitution. Much like Delaware.

Just had a dozy of a T-storm about an hour ago. Very warm here the past week....change is definitely coming, though. On October 13th we get a freaking snowstorm that single handedly helped Reynolds back into his congressional seat....been nice here ever since. Go figure.

Bright sunshine and cool air. I would like just a little snow this winter. But, of course, that's usually all we get -- a little snow.

31. Define "the whole country".
I seem to recall from history class that our non-snow-covered islands attained statehood back around '59 or so.

So if the whole country (except Delaware) ever IS covered in snow... :scared:
