Today just sucks!

They aren't sure how much snow we got-anywhere from one foot to 17 inches. Underneath that is upwards of a half inch of ice.

I worked all night, had staff call in, had to stay late to wait for a replacement, pulled out of the driveway onto a road that had yet to be plowed. That's how I found out about the ice-I'm in a small ditch and I had to wait for a ride in soaking wet clothes.

I worked overtime, kid doesn't have school (so no sleep for me today), my car's in a ditch, started my period a week early and forgot to pack any extra "protection" (gave the last one to a coworker yesterday) and have ruined one of my favorite pairs of panties because of this mess.

Oh-and one of the women living in my home became upset over the snow and began attacking staff.

2. I just want to scream!

I'm still cold and just can't get warmed up. My kid watching Harry Potter for the upteenth time and I'm going insane.

and just hang out in here for a while. Get some Advil and a cup of tea and some warm socks and let us distract you.

5. I'd had enough of HP by the

third or fourth use of 'incredulously'.

Drove me batty. My kids loved 'em though, so, dutiful mother that I am, I've read every. damn. 'incredulously'. in every. damn. book.

Aloud.

The movies? We've got 'em, but when the tape (or DVD) goes in the player, I go upstairs. Enough is enough.

She's right next to me, watching her movie.

On days like this she won't let me out of her sight.

but there are some days I just want to be left alone -- for a little while, at least.

They do it because they love us, though.
