Poll question: What should I bake? |
|
It's the annual school potluck tonight and I need to make something. I was thinking of a pasta dish and some kind of baked good.
But I can't decide.

1. You can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookies; they always disappear. |

9. Chocolate Caramel bars |
|
1 bag Kraft Caramels 1 box Pillsbury German Chocolate Cake mix (Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines don't work_ evaporated milk 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 package chocolate chips 1 stick margerine
Heat oven to 350. Unwrap caramels (the hardest part) and melt on stove with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Stir cake mix, another 1/3 cup evaporated milk, nuts and melted margerine together. Take 1/2 the dough/batter and press it down into a 9x13 inch pan (I spray it with Pam first). Bake for 6 minutes, remove, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, then spread caramel over the chips. Sprinkle the rest of the dough on top of the caramels and bake for another 20 minutes.
These are really good, and you can leave the walnuts out if you are allergic or don't like them.
I'm making spanokotopita yet again, this time for a church potluck tomorrow.

10. cookies are easy to make, and easy to serve. |
|
plus people will eat more cookies as a group, because they can just grab one cookie as opposed to a whole slice of something.
