It was not homemade and thus there was no justification for it. It was good, but not THAT good.

that would definitely be a waste of calories.
I'm not opposed to eating goodies, of course, but they should at least be worth calorie expenditure. That's why I choose things like homemade cookies and really good beers over things like french fries and Coke.
