2. I'm not surprised. Very obscure. |

I prefer Espresso I myself though. One of my favorite albums.
Awesome band. Totally original take on jazz.

A PM's Gong fan! Rare as hen's teeth - so always nice to meet one!
Question: If I have this right: Espresso I is also known as Gazeuse, isn't it? I went looking for E1 a few years ago on CD and couldn't find it. An eMail friend said it was renamed Gazeuse in America - so I bought that.
Does that sound right to you?
I started, finally putting old LP's onto the computer (because I'll never be rich enough to re-buy them in other formats) and when I got to Espresso II it was like a shot of the best vitamins I'd had in years. Got to be the most perfect union of jazz, rock and contemp. classical ever thunk up!
Ennaways, thanks for responding.:hi:

5. Gazeuse??? No clue what that's about. |
|
Espresso I has Allan Holdsworth all over it. He really liked the band and it shows.

6. Yes, but only because of the "Gong" part... |
|
I can't keep track of all the various incarnations of Gong. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard any of their stuff. I've got the album Daevid Allen did with Kramer, though.

8. PM's Gong is an off-shoot of the Gong empire |
|
Very different from the Daevid Allen Gong. More serious. All instrumental. Featured Allen Holdsworth early on in his career.
Just excellent stuff!

I haven't been around this joint in nearly a year now--Katrina, move, no internet, but I live in a small town biz district that is now throwing wi-fi--but I'm glad to see one name I recall from the usual prg rock suspects.
Yup. Agengel's Eggg and You are my faves...tho I own the Expresso stuff too.
Hold that line baby...er wrong record....You never blow your trip forever......

10. There are a few good Gong videos on YouTube. |
|
Mostly still photos set to remastered versions of songs though.
It's worth it just to hear clear versions of stuff like PHP.
Cheers. :hi:
