Sigh...what to get for a cop friend for the holidays?
For his birthday we gave him 2 bottles of wine (Chardonnay and Cabernet).

Now for the holidays I'm stumped as to what to give him.

Meanwhile, I found out that his wife has her birthday before the holiday and hasn't really ever gotten gifts other than a "combined" birthday and holiday gift so I'm giving her something just for her birthday. (And I've only talked with her once.)

I see him a couple times a week but we generally only talk about work and once in a great while we'll talk about his family (Dad has Alzheimers, mom gave him a chunk of money that he didn't know she had to put a down payment on the new house...)

I want to do something possibly wine related, but not necessarily wine.

And I'm a typical man. I suck at shopping. (No offense to those who are good at it.)

6. Wine accesories have possibility.
A vacuum wine stopper is inexpensive and handy for keeping leftover wine fresh for a bit> Some are now packages wine pouring shields too:

A decorative wine stopper would be nice too. They're more for table presentation and very short term use.

Wine glass charms are handy when entertaining (little stem rings with different colored beads or charms to help guests remember which wine glass belongs to whom)

7. My son-in-law is a cop...........
And one year I was in a quandry like yours......

My daughter told me that he could use a nice pair of binoculars...

So I bought him some, and he loved them! He uses them all the time.

:hi:

9. DVDs of comedies.
I suspect one needs extra laughs to counteract a job like law enforcement.

I didn't see this one, but maybe "Sideways" would encompass your wine aspect as well.
