I'm so tired of studying tonight. |

Help me, DU. I've been studying nonstop since noon for an exam I have on Monday. If I get a good grade on it, I won't have to take the final exam. Right now I've got a B+ in the class.
My roommates tried to snap me out of it--they tried to get me to go to the campus pub with them, but my "scholar's guilt" wouldn't let me. I can't seem to tear myself away from this stuff--I've got it open in front of me as we speak.
My eyes hurt, and I look like I've been punched in them--the circles under them are big enough to be shiners. I still don't understand all the material, but it's like there's this little voice in the back of my mind that says "YOU NEED TO KEEP STUDYING" over and over.
Talk me down. Please? I'm about to snap.

Then sleep. Wake up tomorrow, eat a GOOD breakfast, take a 1/2 hour walk and back to it. Remember that the way to retain material is to a)get emotionally involved with the material or b) use physical memory cues, stupider the better. Associate a particular piece of information with a movement or body part.
Another weird thing about memory is that you remember better if you feel slightly silly about what you are doing. Go figure.

Monday is over 24 hours away.
Have a little fun, sleep a few hours... and it will all become clear. The more you stress about it, the more confused you will be.
