2. So cute and fuzzy!
Tucker has the cutest facial markings, Truman has a "serious dad" kind of expression, and Wednesday looks sleepy.

Cat expressions are the greatest. Mine loves to stick his tongue out. We don't know why, but it makes us laugh.

Congrats on the new fur baby.

4. These pictures are so refreshing.
My mother's little girl dog died this morning and my aunt couldn't get me awake to go to the vet with my stepdad. I called my mother to ask what was wrong and it was too late. The vet closes early on Saturdays, so I could not have gotten up in time. That was such a sweet dog and my mother had been crying all day. I called her tonight and after some mutual crying, I started telling her about my little boy cat choosing pinto beans in the choice between corned beef and pintos. I told her about some of the cute things my cats do and it made her laugh some. She still keeps saying she can't take it any more so she won't get any more pets. She still has her boy dog, but he keeps barking for his sister to come home.

I always used to babysit my mother's dogs and she treated them like my little brother and sisiter, so I was close to little Candy Girl too. It's been a sad day. Seeing these cute pictures of living pets is a real comfort to me right now. Thank you.

7. Thank you.
Everybody has been crying a lot today. The strangest things remind someone of their recently departed pet. It makes it hard. That really had an affect (effect) on me that the story about Yogi preferring pinto beans to corned beef cheered her up a little.

6. for candy girl,
Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

8. That is beautiful.
I hope the belief that animals come back to you over and over again through reincarnation is true. Domino, my youngest girl cat, is just exactly like another dog we once raised in personality. She has his mannerisms/attitude and everything. I hope my mother changes her mind about pets. She's punishing herself by not thinking about new life and love, IMO.

Thank you for the poem. It is so true. Her memory will live on.

14. I also believe pets return to us in later reincarnations
My current red tabby, Oliver, reminds me so much of the late great Max, another orange boy, who passed away in 1990.

12. You have beautiful kitties!!!
Tucker's nose looks like a yin yang. Wednesday looks just like our little granddaughter kitty that was adopted by our next door neighbors.
