1. Do you hate it because
it sounds like your house may fall down or because it sounds like spookies?

The noise keeps me awake, when I want to sleep.

7. Yeah, that's no good.
I hate being kept awake when I want to sleep. It makes me cranky.

8. I think it is all the bouncing that causes the creaking and popping!

5. This trailer really makes some strange noises.
Ever since we moved here, I have noticed that in the fall and winter only, the trailer makes these strange creaking and popping noises. My aunt and several other people told me it was the fact that the sun warmed up the material used to make the outer shell of the trailer during the day and it cools down and snaps and pops back into a tighter space at night.

I swear it sounds like someone is creeping along one step at the time ever second or so though. Every once in a while they run though. That's when it gets exciting. I could possibly write a book or a movie around these sounds imagining what the ghosts are doing and all.

11. Sometimes, I can hear something that sounds like the sound of chains
dragging behind a person who is walking really slowly. My stepdad found an arrowhead right in the front yard after it rained here a year or two ago. I could base a story on the history of this area and it could be about either the ghost of a slave or the ghost of a native American. I could be both types of ghosts at work in reality. I study enough civil rights history to know that the Underground Railroad came right through this area.

(Note: The highlighted part is from the interesting interactive on the web site. I doesn't take long to go through it, but it is an interesting way to learn about the history here)

And, of course, both are my ancestors. I always knew about the Tuscarora heritage, but only recently found out about the African blood in our family.

Who knows? Maybe there are ghosts here. They haven't hurt us and they haven't done anything bad that I know of here. Plus, I feel stronger mentally since moving here. It's definitely a place with a feel to it.

:hi:

12. I hate
when the ice dam breaks loose, slides off the roof and slams onto the bulkhead doors of the basement entrance. "INCOMING!" :woohoo:
