to a homeless or poor person.
1. You know they will get a good hot meal that way.
and
2. It will make all those in the restaurant deal with a homeless person while eating with their families in their fancy clean clothes.
Otherwise, I would buy as many salads as I could and take it down to the food kitchen.

8. Accept it graciously, and then send them a thank you card. |
|
And probably use it for a lunch, or when entertaining visiting friends who don't have good taste, or to have dinner before a movie (there's an Olive Garden, the only restaurant, near the movie theater I like to go to, and sometimes I eat there after taking in a matinee).

15. Wierd but we'd probably use it. We're on the road A LOT! |
|
When you've pulled into the hotel after a 12 hour drive at 8:30 pm, and the Olive Garden is across the street, hell - it's nirvana. Whoever gave me that gift card would be kissed 10,000 times over. I keep all of the Applebees, Olive Garden, McDonald's and other assorted gift certs in the visor of the truck and I don't begrudge a single one of them.
Look, the salad, breadsticks and wine alone are worth it even if one gives the menu a hearty f-u.
So shoot me.
