17. Pitchers = bowlers
Catchers = wicket keepers.

There are batters (batsmen) and the game is marked by innings.

Deaths and serious injuries are common.

Other than that, there are no similarities between baseball and cricket.

:P

18. And in baseball can you accurately say
"Well I can tell you the bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey"

? :D

19. Not unless
the bowler has arms 60 feet long.

Nor can you say this:

Warwickshire had dismissed the Kalahari Batsmen for 140, and then it was their turn to face this extraordinary Kalahari attack. Pratt was the first to go, but Pratt and Pratt put on a second wicket stand of nought, which was broken by Odinga in his most hostile mood.

Gotta wonder if it's accurate, though, since they have the 2006 spring schedules posted.

14. If only they'd show cricket matches in the meantime

15. No! It's way too short.
They have already stopped talking about my beloved Cardinals even though they did apologize for winning the World Series.

20. They report on February 15, 2007
...according to mlb.com

I'll find a calendar later and figure out the countdown, but for now I'm too lazy and I haven't had enough coffee, so I'm not sure that I can count that high. Lots of stuff already going on, though. Dodgers signed Juan Pierre to a five-year deal. Re-signed Nomar. Cubs got Soriano and DeRosa and they're looking at Schmidt. Moises Alou went to the Mets for 8.5M. Giants didn't offer salary arbitration to Bonds...

21. I would answer but the Cubs don't have any
pitchers that is:) Z is our only proven starter. I like Rich Hill but what if he blows up?
I can't wait til next year forever!:scared:

22. Rich Hill was finally looking good towards the end of the season...
seems he's finally figured out that he can't throw that curve every. single. time. he. releases. the. ball.

They're looking at Jason Schmidt and I think Wood is going to pitch out of the 'pen. Prior is supposed to be healthy. And yeah...Z (if Rothschild doesn't break him like he broke Wood and Prior). They've still got Miller but the jury's still out on him -- only two starts last year, I think? Some of last year's rookies were promising, but they were rookies, after all.

We'll see.

And they re-signed Blanco and they've got My Barrett.
