Any Theory On Why Some People Lard Their Emails W/ Multiple Exclamation Points?
What is it about someone's personality, that they would toss so many exclamation points into a short email? I mean about one or two or even three after every sentence?

Are they trying extra hard to get my attention?

What are they trying to convey? Enthusiasm?

4. They're uncreative jackoffs with no sense of self differentiated from pop culture.
Vacuous, unneccessary assholes who should be put into special camps where they just work manufacturing jobs all day, then go home to drink beer and watch government provided TV.

5. Oh My, are you a grammar-nazi?
I swear, stirring up that much animosity towards multiple exlamation point users wasn't my intent.

Surely you've read my posts before! :hi:

7. I realize you think you're making a joke.
There's actually a pre-employment process for assholes who should be put into special camps where they just work manufacturing jobs all day, then go home to drink beer and watch government provided TV.

Lame copycat of a response to what I thought just might have been a post commenting on the lengths people will go to lose weight without JUST NOT EATING AS MUCH.

:grr:

It just pisses me off when you post something in the Lounge
(Jeesus, it's the bleeding LOUNGE)
and somebody gets all SERIOUS and takes you to task for being insensitive and a total asshole and such.

If you can't take a joke, then eff off.
That's my position and I'm stickin' to it.
:-)

11. LOL! Now I get it.
I figured you were referencing another thread, but I had no idea what it was.

Thanks for the explanation!

And you're right - leave the seriousness at the door. Some people are too sensitive.

My dad was an abusive alcoholic, but I still make a lot of abusive alcoholic jokes. Who fucking cares?

Jeez.

But if we're ever on the same part of the planet?
I'd admire to buy you a drink.
Or two.

14. The chances of me ever being in Alaama, on purpose,
are pretty well nil.

But one never knows - I will keep the invitation in mind, and would be greatly honored to share drinks with the mighty trof! I will buy all prime numbered rounds greater than 2.

12. I used to think...that excessive exclamation points...
...were the most....annoying features of some...people's emails until...I started exchanging...email with a woman...who fancies herself...an ethereal sort of...artist...and therefore...writes everything in...ellipses...

I think she thinks...it makes her... look otherworldly.

It...doesn't.
