Sunday Night Soup Perfection at Chez Sniffa!!! PICS!!!
So today Sniffa and I embarked on yet another culinary adventure. We decided, while shopping, to make a new soup from scratch, randomly picking ingredients as we went along...And here it is!!

Chopping, chopping, chopping away...

Sniffa says, "Now just relax, don't be a baby"

Actually, he was about to chop the Jalapenos :D

Everything's in the pot...Here we go! :bounce:

Oooooh, look at that soup perfection boil away!

and here's a happy me, full of yummy soup (a bonus for my fanclub :P)

And here's the recipe:

2 cups Turkey Stock
1 lb boneless Chicken Breasts, chopped
1 cup Jasmine Rice
4 lg. Carrots, chopped
1 ea. Green, Red, Orange, Yellow peppers
1 jalapeno
1 large Leek
1 med. Onion, diced
2 lg. Celery stalks, chopped
5-6 cloves of Garlic, smashed
5-6 large Basil leaves
Salt, to taste
A pinch ea. of Thyme, Oregano, Cumin
1 Bay leaf
Water to cover

It was SO f'n good! w00t! Yet another success :D

And now, we need a name for our new creation...Suggestions please!!! :bounce:

4. I suggested that two would be too overpowering,
so we're going to use the other one in a different dish later this week :)

5. Oooh, good suggestion!
And you'll be happy to know that I no longer have Turkey stock in my ears... :P

We're thinking 'Hot Rainbow Soup', 'cause it's both spicy and a lil gay :D

Us militants, we just can't quit...

7. Can I request that the word
"confetti" be used in the name? The 3rd to last picture looks like a rainbow confetti in the pot. It's beautiful.

We love making soups at our house.

10. My soup is called ........
Edited on Sun Dec-03-06 09:17 PM by auntAgonist
my son calls it Poulet Surprise. (pronounce like pulitzer prize and poulet = french for chicken)

Surprise because it never tastes exactly the same twice. It's always delicious though.
