3. i just finished my shopping online
my FIL is getting a tad "vague" these days, Bless his Heart, and has taken up Suduko as a mind exercise

he told us about making a ton of copies so he can try different combos so we got him one of these

my MIL is very difficult to buy for but loves her garden and goofy little critters so we got her this with an extra duckling

we did a doorstop for my stepmother last year using a beat up old carosel horse from the thrift store and reworking it, it was great and she loved it!

Before:

After:

we make it a game to see how cool a gift we can get for the least $$$ while making sure it's something the person will love. thrift stores and off the wall websites are my favorite places to cruise

4. Walter Drake ...
Great crap at great prices! Their catalog is always a bathroom reading staple.

6. So far
I find the dollar store, and the 5 dollar store to be about the best places to shop, within my given budget limits. I also like second hand shops, and garage sales, you never know what you are going to find, and sometimes you find diamonds in the rough.

There are a few things my wife wanted, that I had to buy new, but damn...she is a hard woman to shop for sometimes...:D

8. Dillards
I was able to do all my shopping in one place. Clothes, shoes, perfume, bed linens & household appliances were on my list. Dillards has them all.

10. I make very good use of my employee discount where I work.
30% off and sometimes an additional 30% or 50% off if the company is feeling generous to the employees. I think I did my whole extended family a couple of years ago for less than $100.00 when they graced us with an extended employee discount.

12. So far:
A bike from where I work for LeftyKid,
A retro Joe Montana jersey from Kohl's for my Dad,
A blouse for my sister, also from Kohls,
Two reproductions of old concert tshirts for my Mother, from Target.

I still need to buy:
An oil warmer and some scented oil for my sister, I don't know where,
and a shirt I have picked out for flvegan but just haven't ordered, plus stuff to make some cookies for him and treats for the animals who own him.
