If Santa were a woman and looked
like her

What would happen at the mall or store?

And why is Santa an old overweight man?

1. Santa would be filing hundreds of rape charges and keeping the lawyers rich.

2. Because he never got any "presents" of his own; and devoted his life to solitary acts after starting his own business.

10. I assume Coca Cola made him overweight
Edited on Mon Dec-04-06 08:14 PM by spillthebeans
I'm not sure how much truth is in there

The modern image was firther refined, and by the time of the early 1900s Coca-Cola ads, the image we see today was all but complete. The Coca-cola ads primarily gave Santa his great size and girth; Moore and Nast actually depicted Santa as rather small (an "elf"), but the Coca-Cola ads made him a large, gandfatherly-looking man.

Previous to Coca Cola advertising schemes, Santa Claus was often perceived to be green, as opposed to the rosy red colour he wears today. While the Coca Cola campaign wasn't the first to depict him red, it did much to popularize the "modern" red look.

It seems that the beard and giving gifts came from the st. nicholas

13. Indeed, it is the Hamster
I don't usually go for fannish bahaviour, but when he had that accident, I changed my avatar (from the Stig!). Why? No good reason. Then again, it is nice to find other TG fans :-)

15. I watched a lot of episodes
on BBC Europe, but the episodes are only 30 minutes long, so you have to get them from the net.
I think I remember that they stopped the show in the US for anti Bush remarks, is that true?

I don't really know what happened to him, but heard they stopped filming.
