1. Thunderbird is actually a decent alcoholic drink

Actually, it's a wine cocktail. The Gallo brothers hit on the idea by observing the 'winos' in Southern California. The 'winos' were purchasing really cheap sweet Muscat wine and spiking it with lemon aid. Light bulb moment for Gallo brothers when they realized the 'winos' were balancing the drink by adding the acid to the wine and making it reasonably palatable. And as they say, the rest is history
