Where did "assclown" come from? |
|
It seems to me this expression cropped up only in the last several years. Is it a hybrid of a-hole and clown? Is it a new species like those hypo-allergenic cats?
Is ass clown a kind of specialist within clowning? Are there other species of clowns besides circus clowns and ass clowns? If you have "assclown" on your resume' would it help you get a job anywhere? like Faux News maybe?
Enquiring minds want to know.

When someone refers to Michael Bolton as a "no-talent assclown."
But I could be mistaken...
On edit: Here's the full exchange. One of the characters is named Michael Bolton and is discussing this fact with his co-worker.
Samir: No one in this country can ever pronounce my name right. It's not that hard: Samir Na-gheen-an-a-jar. Nagheenanajar.
Michael Bolton: Yeah, well at least your name isn't Michael Bolton.
Samir: You know there's nothing wrong with that name.
Michael Bolton: There was nothing wrong with it... until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys.

6. I first saw 'fuckwit'... |
|
...in the British humor comic Viz back in the mid-80s. One of the characters was names Terry Fuckwit, and he was always getting into scrapes because of his fuckwittedness. Of course, this begs the question of whether Viz coined the word or merely latched onto something that was already in use.
