Two-month old baby here is in the hospital...that was her BAC when she was brought into the emergency room.
What is WRONG with people?

15. You don't wanna know what his OBP is... |
|
and you hit .687 when you're facing 17-year-old pitchers.
February 15, btw.

I looked it up this morning when I saw KW's thread. I'll find a calendar tonight and actually count.
I love counting down, now that it's less'n 100 days.

as is the sex crimes unit of the CSPD...there's no evidence that the baby's been injured in that way, but that's the police whatchamacallit that responds to major crimes involving children.

Light, for bat speed, or heavy, for impact power?
I think I'd go with light, since that'd let me hit him repeatedly for longer.

7. Oh, I hope that baby doesn't suffer any permanent damage. |
|
x( I imagine that much alcohol at such a fragile age can burn a lot of damage.
I wish I could answer your question, but I don't know what's wrong with people either.

|
not even whether she's expected to recover. It's just so awful I can't comprehend it. Two months old. Probably barely rolling over. It's just...

20. That can actually be caused by rubbing the infant with rubbing alcohol. |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-04-06 04:31 PM by seawolf
Generally done in an attempt to lower fevers by letting the evaporating alcohol cool the baby off. A high percentage of the alcohol seeps through the soft, permeable infant skin and into the blood, jacking up the BAC in a hurry. Very bad for the baby. (Duh!)
Learned that in pharmacology class the other day.
Point is, it's stupid, but not necessarily negligent. Wait for more details.

Shit. Could the kid have gotten into it accidentally? That's negligent, but I have a hard time believing anyone would be stupid enough to pour alcohol for a baby.

25. well perhaps the mother was breastfeeding while drinking vodka |
|
and she has a dribble glass and the vodka just sloshed all over her breast while the kid was feeding....that might be an accident but that would be highly improbable.
I am suspecting a really bad parent trying to kill the infant.
Or....
An unexperienced or stupid parent who thought that a bit of alcohol would cure colicky baby and give mom or the sitter or the dad a rest....all profoundly stupid ...but people are capable of such immense stupidity.
