"The Devil's Rejects" - Soundtrack and Movie
What did you think?

Listening to the soundtrack now...makes you think of Freebird in a whole new way. Same goes for "Midnight Rider"

For those who haven't seen this movie, it's probably the most disturbing, horrific, gory and haunting 90 min ever put to film. And I loved every minute.

Basically, it's a road movie. With serial killers. Not just any serial killers, but ones who would make Ted Bundy blush. And all the music is 70's southern rock (Skynyrd, Elvin Bishop, etc...)

Think about it this way - This movie does for Southern Rock what "Clockwork Orange" did for Beethoven.

And yes, if you didn't like Clockwork Orange, you WILL NOT Like this movie.

1. The only adjective I can ever use to describe it is badass.
Thoroughly enjoy that movie.

3. I hated Clockwork Orange
but I really want to see Devil's Rejects. Am I really going to hate it?

4. Well were you put off by Alex's sociopathy?
And were you bothered by what could have been deemed "gratuitous violence" in Clockwork Orange?

If so, then probably. DR is far gorier, and the central characters are far more evil than Alex...they're serial killers on the road. And law enforcement is no better than them.

5. More the sociopathy.
Gore/violence doesn't bother me so much.
But I guess I'll have to see it for myself to truly know.

6. I love this movie.
It's also given me a much greater appreciation for "House of 1,000 Corpses" which is Zombie's movie that introduces us to the characters.

7. I agree with Zombie himself re: HO1K...
It had all the best intentions, but tried to be too much.

Gotta love Cap Spaulding tho...
