2. Radio_Lady, I'm sorry I don't have links, but it is my understanding

that he is going to Iraq to entertain the troops. He likes to do that at least once a year. There as a discussion on this in GD last week. Again, I apologize that I don't have a link, but it IS my understanding he is going to Iraq, and will be gone only temporarily.

4. I just briefly checked his show site, and didn't see anything

but again, I read the Iraq thing in several threads. I think Al needs to put it on his show page in big letters. Given the bankruptcy AAR filed, and the fact that they are in negotiations with new buyers, it would help clarify things as far as Al's show goes.

He'll be entertaining the troops soon and the Best of Al Franken will be played. He did leave open the possibility that someone may sub for him during that time also.

He mentioned that AAR is in financial trouble but that his show was considered the flagship show and if AAR comes back in the new year he'll be there.

I doubt that they will make it. Plus, Malloy said that he only gives them about ten more days- and that was last week. He also added that he is expecting {NovaM} to go national and referenced that he would be on satelite link up in the new year on both xm and sirius.

Though there is still talk of him throwing his hat in the ring for the next Senate election.

Personally, I don't see him sticking around much longer. I think he's accomplished all he will in radio, and most of that was getting AAR off the ground.

As for Radio Equalizer, don't waste your time reading that trash. He's a dumbass wingnut who's got a creepy Franken fetish. Read my blog instead (cheap plug alert!). I filter out all the bullshit the wingnut radio blogs spread about.
