9. Just a little bit old fashion Québec bashing |
|
Not a lot mind you, but I don't feel like dealing with it.

I'm going to check it out and see why Bassic has fled.
On edit: Excellent sentence structure and accurate spelling. I had to get the heck out of there myself :)

Bickering over the results of the Liberal leadership race? People still pissing and moaning about how the NDP are the reason the Liberals lost the election? Too much snow? I never go there, so i don't know what really goes on there, haha. (The forum I mean, I live in Canada. :P)

Whenever I'm on the hwy in Vermont and a car goes racing past me at a high rate of speed, it is almost always a car from Quebec :)

That's probably going to change though. Now that health and safety nazis have succeeded in banning tobacco, they didn't know exactly what to do, so they're focusing on speeding now.

17. From what my Canadian partner was telling me about Dion... |
|
he (Dion, not my partner) sounds like a very good Liberal Leader. And after all of this time with Stephen Harper as your Prime Minister, isn't it a very good thing indeed that the Liberals now have a leader? That next election may not be all that far away.

18. Yes it is a very good thing that the Libs have a leader. |
|
That perticular point was not the problem.

but this morning I saw a suggestion that Dion renounce his French citizenship. I don't quite understand why.

That's just a load of crap that conservative journalists are trying to use |
|
in order to try to stem the tide that seems to be going Dion's way. Dion was not only born in Canada, he has been working as a minister and an MP for a long time now. It is quite clear that his loyalty lies in Ottawa, and not in Paris. I doubt the whole French citizenship thing will create much stir.
