7. It rained here in NC yesterday and tonight it is below freezing.

If those two phenomenon had been more contemporaneous, we would have had that kind of snow here. That's one of the things I miss about living in Alaska. I don't need that much snow, but sure would like some, instead of these ice storms we get here.

14. It's not quite as much snow as it looks like

This was taken in Earthquake Park in Anchorage -- those bumps in among the trees are the worn-down remains of the disruption of the earth from the '64 quake. There's about 6-8 inches of snow on the ground.
