1. Real dude, probably, and had the right idea, but not the Son of God.

3. I'm with you there,
although I think his intent was to let us know that we're all children of God and his equal in God's eyes.

2. Cool guy, very talented
More talented than many, in fact. Son of God only in the sense that we're all children of God(dess).

4. Real dude, son of God just like all the rest of us but with a twist
he was much better at understanding the laws of the universe.

5. I don't know if he existed or not
but if there was a character the myth was based on then I am certain he was as sexually charismatic as someone like Elvis or Jim Morrison. Cult leaders usually are. I would also guess sexual attraction is really what drew most of his followers to him, both male and female.

6. very much like the gods of other cultures
born of a virgin, came back from the dead. Very ancient concept.

But there must be something to how people respond to this age-old motif, since it keeps repeating....

;)

7. Good guy. Mom would approve.

I don't worship him, but I do highly respect him and everything he taught. Though I respect Buddha and the Great Spirit, and everything they taught as well.

11. Based on the non-biblical historical evidence...
odds are he never actually existed.

13. I think he existed and was one of the probably thousands of
prophets of his day. However he made an impression. There is some literature out there which supports the idea that he was not a pacifist but rather a rabble-rouser who wished to see the Jews rise against Rome. I think it's more likely that he was remembered initially for political activism than for his supposed miracles and talk of God's love.

14. All of the above.
If there is a God, Jesus is the kind of prophet She would send. The Bible's plenty garbled, though. I doubt that much of what reaches us about him is true.
