1. To each her own, but why?

Seems like a strange choice to me. I mean it's a bit like making your body a billboard or a public service announcement, rather than something to celebrate with decoration.

But what do I know.

:)

2. I say get what you want.
Who cares if other people think it's pretentious? You obviously have a reason for wanting it, and that is what's important.

7. send me a pic of entire body naked
and I'll help you select a spot. Seriously do what want and it doesn't really matter with this issue what others think.

8. My only concern is that styles change.
In 20 yrs will people still be using or even know about the ribbons that are so popular today?

11. will it matter if "people" know?
i think what is more important is that in 20 yrs it will be a reminder of where she was now and what mattered to her

16. Most tattoos are a lot more frivolous than that
If you want one that makes a statement, there aren't many that would be more relevant.

18. you should never worry what people think if you want it. the main
thing is to be certain THAT is what you want for a permanent tattoo. if so, then get it. there will always be somebody somewhere with an opinion on it you won't like to hear no matter what you get. it's the nature of tattoos.
