2. I want everyone to like me...
and get quite miffed if someone doesn't...it's a deep seeded insecurity but I can't do a thing about it. However it's more of an internal thing, I act like I don't care, but I really do

5. I used to.
Not so much as I get older. Unless, of course, someone doesn't like me.

6. Occasionally.
I am paranoid about being thought of as a stupid woman. Other than that no, not really.

7. Not a whole lot.
I care what those close to me think, of course- won't let it control me, but I care. But if I don't know you, I couldn't care less.

8. Depends
on how I feel about them. If I like, love, care about them, of course. If I don't, then no.

9. I never really have given a shit.. but then again....
I have a problem with it if it is causing someone some trouble. Also, if someone doesn't like me because of a rumor or bullshit, then I would rather set the record straight and if you still don't like me, then I don't give a fuck.

But basically, no.. I am cool with myself, so if someone has a problem with me, then that's their hang up..not mine.

10. I care a little.
I want to be thought a good and caring person. And if I fall short of being the person I want to be sometimes, I'd like to be forgiven just as I would forgive others.

11. The people to whom I am very close.
They know me well, and can gently point out when I am on the wrong path.

As for total strangers, fuck 'em. :D

12. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
If they've shown themselves to have a functioning brain and heart, then usually yes.

However I have limits. I will only take so much shit before I will begin to dish it back out, and with some people, that involves not caring about what they think.

15. Because, as someone pointed out to me just a few minutes ago
we need to see ourselves as others see us.

If someone I respect is critical of something I do or say, I'm obligated to consider it as it might make me a better person.

You see yourself as you think others see you.

That is the way it is.

19. My grandmother taught me not to by
constantly saying 'what will the neighbors think' whenever I'd do something she didn't like. I was 16 before I finally said 'I don't give a shit what the neighbors think'. And realized from then on that if I worried about others' opinions I wasn't taking care of myself.

20. I shouldn't.
And these days it's increasingly easy to speak my mind regardless of others want to hear. I have beliefs, based on actions against me in my past, and I have a right to say them. Especially if people look into them and deliberate over the core problems; and not symptoms like me who will never get to live a normal life because of them.

22. Of course.
The key is perspective. Is the information true or not? If yes, deal with it. If not, don't bother.

but I do try to be the best me I can around people.

I think that's more for maintaining my own self-esteem though.

24. Yes, because I was raised with poor boundaries
And haven't quite gotten over that yet. Anytime anyone says anything bad about me, it automatically feels like it is true and that I am unworthy because of it.

and have been my entire life. Yes, I care what people think, but I have gotten a little better as I get older about not abusing myself in the process.
