Would you ever tape a duck? |
|
IF you used duct tape to tape a duck to a duct, would you be using the product in accordance with FDA rules and regulations?

Duct tape is a fraud and a miserable failure. The real, and only proper name is duck tape, invented during the second world war for sealing containers in wet environments. It only started being called duct tape after the war when HVAC boys found piles of cheap surplus duck tape and discovered it served their purpose of sealing ducting. It was lousy for the purpose because it doesn't last but a few years; it would dry up and fall off. Today, there is a proper duct tape designed to seal ducts that stands up to the test of time, but is very expensive.
