I'm not an advocate of total gun control though I've never owned a gun or fired one or care to be around them.. I understand the issue and have mixed feelings on this. And to let you know I think it essential to retain one's sense of humor in light of all we face. Probably a survival technique.

...like those 6000 round per minute anti-air (Vulcan?) weapons I always wanted to fire (at inanimate targets!), but never did. Far from the bit-dit-dit of an M-16A2 or the DUT-DUT-DUT of the M-60, those multi-barrel guns had a humming or zipping sound, the rounds were being discharged so fast! Fun stuff, in training, even just watching. I'd imagine that it's somewhat less fun if someone is shooting back! I was only in the (old) reserves, thankfully, so I never saw or felt what it is to be shot at.

The OP photo is some sort of variation of a Vulcan or a modern Gatling gun. I'm not hip to all the new toys our military has these days. :shrug:

Where did the picture come from? The girl is wearing no hearing protection, no eye protection. I would not be a bit surprised to find this was a modified photo.

Weapons such as these are very, very expensive to purchase, very, very expensive to operate, and are very, very tightly regulated.

We sure have to worry about all the crimes committed with Vulcan mini-guns, now, don't we.

BTW, I think there was a question about this weapon compared to the one in the other photo in this thread. The OP picture is NOT a .50 BMG. From the casings in the air, this looks like a 7.62mm NATO weapon.
