He Says "I Want To Watch You Work Out" |
|
this being the medical director of the program that I'm a supervisor of in a geri psych unit.
I'm like, huh? He says "I'll be down in about 15 minutes, will you be there?" I said I would but it seemed a little weird.
So I start thinking, what does he want really? Is he stalking me LOL
He shows up and all he really wants is to find out what exercise equipment I've been using that's made me lose 43 lbs in about 5 months or so. I showed him.
I left out the part that about 6 months ago my world started caving in on me, reality hit me that I was living a farce in my marriage. I was quite depressed and started working out daily to help me cope, and to honestly, avoid going home. I also lost my appetite, worked out nearly every day and since I'm compulsive about almost everything I do (if it feels good, I want 10 please) and exercising was making me feel good. So that's really the secret, but it's more fun having him thinking I'm just an exercise guru and hold the secret to vitality and weight loss!

3. Wow, it is a scary thing to hear, but I guess he was being literal |
|
The times I've lost weight quickly have been after major surgery or a breakup. Weird to get compliments at a time like that.
The scarier thing a man can say is "I want to watch you sleep"... I mean, WHY?

4. Hold on. So what you're saying, is that |
|
(regardless of the reason, though not to belittle it) you: 1. Worked out daily; 2. Curbed your appetite; 3. Enjoyed the exercise; 4. Leveraged your compulsiveness towards your fitness goals.
You are a fitness guru. You're already ahead of 95% of the trainers that I personally know.
Either way, congrats on 43 pounds gone, and cheers to your new vitality!
