COSMOS on The Science Channel right now
Woo-hoo! What a shame that Carl Sagan was taken from us so soon.

7. Not to mention the invisible dragon living in my garage
That was brilliant. Much easier to digest than Sextus Empiricus, that's for sure.

3. Sagan is the closest thing I have to a hero
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 09:09 PM by Az
Its not just that he was a scientist. Its that he tried to bring science to the people. We need more like him. We have more than enough scientists locked in their towers concocting potions and reagents. We need the ones that can come out and speak to the people and show them the wonders of what we are learning.

4. I admire the guy.
He's also a flawed character.

You can see it watching that show.

5. After seeing it on the science channel, I had to buy the dvd set.
It is a wonderful series. And his books are wonderful as well.

8. Loved "Cosmos" Watched it on PBS ages ago
I'd bet money that if Carl Sagan was alive today he would be all over the global warming issue. He was a great voice.
