I'm back! It's been a while......

Finally! After two solid months and a few days, I have returned to DU! This happened after both my desktop and laptop computer both gave up the ghost within months of each other, leaving me to attempt to survive with neither, and a lack of computering for that period of time. Trust me--it's worse than torture not to be able to check out the 'net and to be isolated in the world without any communications, other than the rather horrendous experience of trying to use the cell phone as an ISP.

The worst part was the early part of November after the election victories. Man, I would have almost killed to be able to be here talking with people! It was a very heady sensation watching the returns, and then TDS and see our side finally accomplishing what we'd tried to do. Here in Massachusetts, the only day prior to election night and its aftermath that had any real hope was October 25 at the DCU Arena, when Deval Patrick, Tim Murray (a Worcester native son), Ted Kennedy and President Bill Clinton were on hand for a fantastic rally of the believers. The energy flow there was fantastic, and I really wish I had been able to bring a good camera with me.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi to all, and wonder if I was missed; if not, that's okay, too--I haven't been missed from worse places than DU. :P

Looking forward to getting some of the essays I've been writing typed up and posted, though it might be a few days before I get to it--it is just full comfort knowing I'm here again among friends. :)

I'm not sure how many buddies I actually have! It was a bit lonesome, though, with nothing to do but watch TV and DVDs. There are only so many episodes of decent TV out there.

I almost did lose it, I guess. It's difficult to return to the habits of about half my life ago, when even TV was limited to about 9 channels, and reading, writing and going for pizza were the most exicitng things going!
