4. Wow that's rare
I saw a FoodTV show about cheese recently and they said that one company makes 90 something % of all the cheese balls in the world. Had to do with a process called coldpack where is was melted and reformed allowing protiens to rebind...

7. I've made the blue cheese cheese balls from her new cookbook
They were delicious! I have not attempted the lil' smokey yet though. Maybe for Christmas.

12. I love that book too! I read it three times.
Which is, in a way, insane. My friends and I also did the ladies night meal--fantastic!

It's a very comforting book, too.

14. I loved it when she said something along the lines of:
Never dress better that the hostess, unless you are a transsexual.

18. That's good advice. One of my favorite pages is
the picture of her in the Greek Dress and under the picture it says: Achieve This Look! see page 243

21. Totally cracks me up.
Her stuff on Conan and Letterman is just as priceless. I remember seeing her on Conan with Martha Stewart years before Martha went to jail or even had charges brought-up against her. Not only does Amy pass Martha a homemade bong, but then goes on to show her how to make a grilled cheese sandwich with and iron and an iron board, in case Martha was ever in jail!

25. I just watched that on you tube not long ago
I was searching for the clip of her describing how her dad was bemoaning her giant ass, but I couldn't find it. I love that Conan calls her crafts "the worst crafts I've ever seen." I didn't realize it was well before Martha was brought up on charges though. That makes it a million times better.

26. It does, doesn't it?
Me and my group of friends are huge Amy fans and that clip was the first thing we thought of when all the Martha stuff went down. (I can't believe I'm saying this since I'm only 33 but...) Back in the day we used to tape her appearances and share them with friends. Now, in the day of youtube, I'm glad that so many people will get to see her insane, comedic brilliance.

And yes, wearing the fatty suit, but being to poor to afford the top part, home and eating spoonfuls of mayonnaise must have driven her father crazy.

It occurred to me but then I didn't think they existed.

my mother used to make something with peanut butter, honey and powdered milk, but they were rolled into a rope and snipped. mmm. I liked those.

19. yeah - I've made ones with peanut butter and something else,
then coat them in chocolate.

In Wisconsin they're a popular holiday treat.

I can't think of what the peanut butter gets mixed with so it holds together better, though.

Had some for the first time ever about three years ago. This friend of my ex's used to get together with her friends and they would spend all day making rum balls. I wonder where I can get some now?
