Here's Daddy. His tales have been widely told; all the Lounge Lizards know Daddy. Probably best from this photo:

Well, I went to California for a few days, and when I got back, there was this thing on Daddy's nose.

See it? Here's a close-up (best I could get - he kept wanting to play w/ the camera strap):

What the hell is that? :scared:

3. Most likely skin tone under the fur
But you sound concerned, so I suggest getting a professional opinion from a veterinarian.

4. I plan to. Can't until next weekend, though.
I wondered if anyone had ever seen such a thing.

5. Looks like a zit or an inflamed fight or sticker wound. Give it a day then take to Dr.

6. It might be acne.

I had a kittie who got acne on her face. The vet said kitties can get acne just like people do, except mostly you don't see it under their fur. But in your kittie's case it would be more obvious since there's no fur on the nose to hide it.

Otherwise, as it looks a bit swollen, I'm going to guess an ingrown hair or possibly a bug bite or other minor injury (thinking maybe a scratch from playing with other kitties).

If it was a cancer tumor or something like that, I don't think it would pop out over the course of a few days.

Good luck.

Hey Bertha, did you see my Henri Cat fighting the bag monster? :D

7. From sticking his nose in someone else's business, probably
Looks like a wart or sore of some sort. Just watch it for a week. Probably it will go away or stay about the same. Touch it to see if it hurts him. If not, it's probably not urgent. If it grows or oozes or looks worse or doesn't go away in a week or two, take to vet. A tumor probably wouldn't have gotten that big that quick, so it's probably something else. Not that I'm a vet, so if you get better info, ignore mine.

One of my dogs keeps getting some swollen sack of fluid under her neck. It's about walnut size, or bigger. Our nurse neighbor just lances it with a kitchen knife, and it drains to nothing, then slowly fills back up. It doesn't hurt her, it's just something weird to deal with.

8. Abcess from a scratch?
Does it feel warm to the touch? Our cat had an abcess on his head from a scratch wound and it swelled like that. You can use a warm compress to bring it out, but if thats what it is then basically it's going to have to open up and drain, when it does just clean it, try to compress it to make sure all of the pus comes out and put some antibiotic ointment on it.

Good luck!

10. Agree that it looks like an abscess similar to one my cat had
I freaked out and took her to the emergency weekend vet. Who proceeded to charge me a hundred bucks to squeeze it. In the short term, warm compresses would probably be good -- although he doesn't look like the type to sit still for that! Vet will probably lance it and give antibiotics. I doubt it is an emergency per se but try to get in before the weekend. Let us know he's ok? And try not to worry.
