This is the Lounge, right? |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 01:34 AM by JackBeck
I thought we were able to post playful, non-combative stuff here.
Have the unspoken rules changed?
Or should we speak the unspoken rules? Just so everyone knows.
On edit: I'm going to smoke in my condo without my husband knowing.

1. The key word is 'able' |
|
We CAN post playful, fun, non-combative stuff here...we're not compelled to, though.
Mostly it's the fun stuff. Did you enjoy your cigarette?

3. I did. Especially since I don't smoke more than 5 a day. |
|
I love the lounge.
Was just trying to be playful with my OP about cheating.

7. In the future, try not to say the following: |
|
"Everyone has the right to be a stupid as they want to be."
Then you'll be fine.

9. Ok, I appologised for that twice already |
|
And as I said I meant it as an inclusive statement. Not to imply that you were a stupid person. Everyone does things others think are stupid. That is the entire basis of that statement. That in a free society we are free to do what we want. No matter how stupid others may think it is.
For my trouble though I have been called immature, sanctimonious, an asshole, and a host of other names. Do you see a perhaps inbalance here?

5. One of the unspoken rules is, or oughta be |
|
"Never start a thread that's in any way related to smoking unless you want to get flamed by self-righteous jackals."

I was trying to be snarky by making people believe I was cheating on my hubby.
I've learned my lesson.

13. Remember, It's Not Insulting If Prefaced by "I'm Saying This For Your Own Good" |
|
No matter what insult follows, YOU are the cad if you take umbrage to being insulted when someone has used this magic phrase. I'm just telling you this for your own good, you evil evil smoker. Now pass the lighter - my butt's gone out.

Isn't "I'm just telling you this for your own good..."
the same as
"I'm Saying This For Your Own Good"?
Dude, I still have a light, btw.

But those are actually called a Fama. Genetically the Fox's DNA is dominant so it exhibits more fox like traits.

27. the lounge is also known for some truly epic flame wars |
|
that would rival the kudzu thread in duration and length if it wasn't for those meddling kids, er, I mean mods.
Plus, in the Lounge they seem to have the ability to continue in the form of veiled copycats.
