Why do they do this to cats (Attn: Flaxbee)? (Dial-up alert)
My daughter got tired of dressing up dolls and moved on to our cat Sonia:

2. The funny thing is, when we adopted her a couple of years ago,
she spent the first six months under our bed, rarely venturing out, except for eating and bathroom breaks. Now she sleeps with our daughter, and will go running up at 9:00 and wait for her to come to bed!!

4. Good question.
Though my daughter is only nine, the Ramsey's were adults.

7. that's fair
sometimes I even see adults doing that to themselves.

I guess sometimes I dress up kind of nice and it makes me feel nice, so I understand that. I just worry about people who dress up with the thought that they cannot be accepted unless they conform to some unattainable ideal when it come to their appearance.

But that just got a lot heavier than your post was meant to... I'm sure. Your daughter was just having a little fun.

5. My neices dress my dog up
My cat can get away from them.

My dog lets them dress her up, she loves children so much.

10. Nope

My mom tried to wash it out with cleaning solvent but even that didn't work. In the end she had to cut off the fur at the places he had the paint.

11. For what it's worth, the cat looks rather pretty!
I'm not into dressing up pets myself, but does Sonia try to get away from your daughter when she approaches her with the clothes?

14. You don't have to be a small child to dress up a cat.

17. It's a little baby outfit - one piece.
Although Teddy was a fairly docile, good-natured kitty, I don't think he would have held still while I tied his cummerbund and bow tie. Let alone cufflinks.

20. Your daughter has exquisite taste.
A basic black cat with a cute figure like Sonia's can wear anything and look stunning.

Thanks for the link, madinmaryland! Sonia looks lovely! And I'm sooo glad she's chilled out, opened up, and loves the family now (esp. your daughter). I knew Sonia had it in her!
