I don't know, I'm just winging it over here...I think Max Weinberg's band is really talented.

Because he has a verra verra sexy voice and because I don't watch late-night tv often enough to comment.

4. Conan's band, Max Weinberg I believe |
|
Mostly because they interact with Conan in a way that doesn't make you cringe, and one of their guys helps out with "In the year 3000"
Leno's guy just laughs at everything, no matter how stupid, then laughs when Leno picks on him
Schaffer is just an odd little man.
SNL band is like having a root canal.

6. Yes, that is Max Weinberg. |
|
He also has been Bruce Springsteen's touring drummer for years. Which is cool.

They cover tunes that are a tad more obscure than Paul Schaffer's band.
Plus I love Max's deadpan when interacting with Conan. Or maybe that's his comatose/catatonic look. :D

11. I know, I love playing Name That Tune with the MW7. |
|
It's always something surprising that fits really well with the guest. :) And they play a lot of Elvis Costello. :D

13. Letterman's band, except for two people... |
|
Paul Shaffer, and that trumpet player. Paul just annoys me, and the trumpet player blows his face off like he's still in drum corps.

14. I can't decide about Paul Shaeffer. |
|
I think he's truly a really great musician, and sometimes I find him funny. But other times I really don't.
