Bigfoot Question: What are your thoughts on the Patterson film? |
|
I've heard its a hoax and the man who was in the suit made a deathbed confession about the whole thing. Then I heard it was another film and not the Patterson film. Then I heard that was debunked then I heard it wasn't debunked.Only reason I ask is there is one scientist who I feel has some credibility feel the Patterson film is real and makes a pretty argument. I need some of you Bigfoot experts to chime in here and set me straight. Thanks!

1. If the alleged videos are "proof" |
|
Why is it in today's day and age, with cameras that can make even the most green filmmaker shoot like Scorsese - the accounts of Bigfoot are still blurry and never really catch a full close up of the beast?
Also, why haven't we ever found a Bigfoot skeleton? A bigfoot dropping?

I've never seen a bear or a dear's skeleton so I don't find that unusual. I believe there can be something out there that we refer to as Bigfoot as being legit. However, there is so much crap and hoaxes out there, trying to sift through it all seems impossible.

5. People have found deer and bear bones. |
|
Hell, last summer in a park we found a deer leg, chewed off.
Until there is empirical proof, Bigfoot simply doesn't exist. A videotape done by an amateur is not empirical proof.

4. Patterson admitted it was a hoax. |
|
Grimlin, the other guy who was with Patterson stated that he believed it to be real.
There was also a lot of speculation that John Chambers, makeup guru, (think Planet of the Apes) did the costume, but he denies it.
I think it was a very elaborate hoax.

7. Well, he did get thrown from a horse with a crappy 8 millimeter. |
|
But what I want to know is; why is still the best film of the Big Foot ever recorded?

2. The guy who started the bigfoot legends had a deathbed... |
|
confession. It was not the guy who made the film. The guy who gave the deathbed confession was the one who started it with plaster casts of the "footprints."
Don't know if the guy who made the film confessed or not.

6. What scientist are you referring to in your OP? |
|

Grover Krantz (RIP)? (Who, by the way, was damn near the *only* respected scientist in this particular field of anthropology)
