Attractive Accents?
Am I the only one who nearly melts into a puddle of panting goo over certain regional/national accents? For example--British. I find almost all varieties of British accents to be maddeningly sexy. I have a friend from Staffordshire who just slays me when he talks, as well as an ex-boyfriend from Swansea, Wales whose accent was like a spoken...well, you know. :D Both of them loved to hear my "Southern" American accent as well, which I found amusing--a lot of people here consider Southern accents to be "low-class".

Which accents do *you* find attractive?

2. French
Yes, I know this sounds so stereotypical but French accents are very sexy.
I share your attraction to British accents but not all of them. Do you remember an old English actor named David Nivens? He's not much to look at but I always loved voice and accent.

I really want to live in the UK someday--preferably in Wales near the England border. I've heard the River Wye is lovely. :)

Especially Boston. Which makes me feel disloyal, because I'm from Philly. But it is so damn sexy!

wow, they both can make me do anything if they ask. I love those accents. I even met a German girl who was able to use the gutteral grunts to sound hot when she spoke broken english.

8. Ladies with Irish and Scottish accents turn me on
although not a harsh Scottish accent. From around Edinburgh is good.

Yes, North American accents are sexy too. All depending on the lady, natch.

15. I love all accents
My current favorite is Aussie. I don't really know why,
but I think it has something to do with our helicopter
pilots (pic below) when we visited Australia last year.

18. I admit, I am unfairly biased against Aussie accents.
They remind me too much of my evil ex, who currently lives there.

19. The accent of a liberal Texan, a real one like Molly Ivins and
Ann Richards. And especially Bill Moyers, who has a softer, North Texas accent. I grew up in Dallas and had a softer accent, like my mother, before I came north and lost it.

21. I went to school with a boy from Russia, too.
He had a beautiful name and a gorgeous accent.

He changed his use-name to "Alex", though. "Sasha" didn't go over well with the testosterone-riddled teen boys in our school.

35. Well, I found my Gallant Princess, but we're still looking for a Prince.
We're unconventional like that ;)

Seriously, though--I just want to live in a drafty, damp old castle or manor house with kilometres of gardens and a river running near, so I can write and paint the rest of my life away. :)
