I take a late lunch, and on my way back I saw my job surrounded by cop cars and ambulances - nowhere to park. I immediately think some serious shit is going down at the office so I call from the car to find out.

Thankfully, everyone at work is fine. It was way creepy for a bit - badass cop dudes walking around and around with (what looked like) machine guns. HELLO police state is what it felt like.

I don't know who the guy was - but may he RIP. :(

1. Several years ago
about 10 pm I was reading in my condo and heard a kind of "pop" sound. Sounded like it came from the backyard. Looked out the slider, nothing going on. Went back to my book, but about 30 seconds later heard a commotion out front. Then the EMT's arrived and we found out the guy next door had shot himself. Still alive when taken to the hospital, but died next day.
I didn't know the guy very well, kind of kept to himself.
Truly so sad for his family.

3. That's horrible!
From what I understand - (and admittedly I know little if anything) there was a domestic, then the guy barricaded himself in a room and blew himself away. I don't think he made it out of there alive.

a house on the street behind me burned down today, it's a total loss but thankfully everyone got out and is ok.

4. :(
It's always so sad to hear when people lose everything - and is it just me or does these things always seem to happen around the holidays?
