Anyone Else Having A Great Friday!??? What Are You Doing?

I am having a great day today!

The best part is that me and my son, and no one else!(6 year old Matthew) are hanging out tonight watching movies and eating junk food.


I'm sitting here with my O'Doul's and we're watching Ice age the meltdown! and posting on DU!

1. Actually, I did have a good day!

I worked this morning, then ran to the grocery store and the bank. When I got home, my husband and 4-year-old son were already home, and I baked & frosted cupcakes for my daughter's birthday celebration at school. After school we went for coffee and stopped at Home Depot for new towel rings for two of the bathrooms. My kids are bathing right now, and I'm rather leisurely reorganizing my home office. We had pizza delivery for supper.

We're having a party tomorrow night, and I've spent the whole week in preparation. I'm ready for a little time off. :)

18. yes, i took the day off today

and i'm loving just puttering around the house. it's starting to storm here in sactown, wind is blowing, rain coming down. i just LOVE to kick it at home when it's like this. also, my son is out of town, and i feel FREE! this is a taste of what it will be like in TWO YEARS! :woohoo:

he will be 18 on 5/28/08, and off to college (oh yes he will, and hopefully more than 300 miles away) shortly afterwards! it will be the first time i've ever lived alone. i was married at 18 straight from home, had 4 kids, and this is the last one. i don't have a partner now, and i love my alone time.

want Verizon, but Cingular seems to have the market where I live sewn up.

But, I am going to Little Rock tomorrow and they sell them there so maybe I will look into getting that.

With Verizon i can call my sister and my dad anytime since they have that. They also get good coverage when they visit here so I'm not worried about that.

Have to get up at 0415 a.m. to leave by 0500 a.m. to drive to Little Rock from Fort Smith in Arkansas to take a test to get certified to evaluate for Department of Transportation substance abuse issues.

It's saturday night here in Australia right now but I had a lovely day. Went to the beach and soaked up the sunshine, grabbed an icecream on the way home and am now alternating between listening to Futurama and browsing the internet.
