Well, the beef went bad. (see earlier thread)
Big chunks of it had become almost black, and it didn't smell right. No way in hell I was eating that, so I tossed it.

Damn. Here I was looking forward to meat, and I have to settle for eggs.

2. Eggs are pre-meat.
Hope that helps.

3. Very glad to hear
you didn't eat it. Eggs are probably better for you anyhow.

6. No, they aren't...
one egg has more cholesterol than a 6 ounce serving of lean beef. You're better off eating a steak than an omelette, from a health perspective.

5. Sorry it didn't work out.
It is normal for plastic-wrapped meat to have some odor after unwrapping. But, if after rinsing with cold water and patting dry the meat still is odoriferous (or slimy at all), you are pretty much SOL. Hope your are tasty!

7. Good thing you didn't eat it.
A friend of mine ate spoiled ham once and went temporarily insane. :scared: :P

8. Saw an ad for a device that tests meat
I don't remember where I saw it. But it basically can check to see if your meat has gone bad. Google around for it.

9. Beef!
It's whats for dinner...and then later what's for the stomach pump!

Cooking is not my thing. One Thanksgiving I prepared a Turkey flavored food poisoning...yum yum!

Even when I bake something easy like a store bought frozen Lasagna I mess that up...I forgot about the electric oven using both top/bottom elements when you first turn it on. I put the Lasagna directly into the cold oven. It was the kind of Lasagna that had the plastic on top that you leave attached...talk about smelly!

I did have enough sense to throw out the Lasagna.
