But did you see that 'House' episode where this guy that was in a coma for 10 or so years is 'revived' because his son was dying. House, Carter and the guy were going to Atlantic City so that they guy could enjoy his few hours of consciousness. Anyways before they left the hospital the guy gets in Carter's car while House and Carter argued about the guy. Anyways the guy is sitting in the driver's seat and leans over to speak out of the passenger window. He holds up an iPod and asks "Who is Eepod?" :rofl:

That has to be the epitome of on-line self-deprecation :) ;)

To stimulate conversation: I do own an iPod. A last generation 512MB Shuffle in fact. I love the thing only marginally less than my two children. It is truly the most fantastic, amazing invention of the 21st century (we have a ways to go...). I have a hard time still with the concept of having so much digital quality music on something I can stick in the coin pocket of my Levis - it feels like I am living in a sci-fi novel.

I have seen a missing link in the iPod accessory market. I was thinking what one needs to compliment their 30GB Video iPod is a visor or billed hat that has a clasp on it designed to hold the screen six inches or so away from your eyes. Not fashionable, but you would presumably use it in non-social settings anyways. I mean, who wants to be the guy at the party sitting on the couch watching Dave Chappell for the thousandth time on a screen only he can see.

So, there you go, iPod thread.

7. My husband has a 30 gig video iPod....

It is amazing. He downloaded several kids' movies to it. Great for my 4 yr old when we are at a restaurant and he is getting restless, on trips, etc.

I have a mini (replaced by the Nano) and can't imagine not having one. I listen to that far more than the radio.

11. Looks like I am upgrading for Christmas

I think I am going up to either the 30GB audio or, if the $$ is there, the 30GB Video. I am all a shiver with anticipation.

No high-speed internet at home limits the video capabilities, so I think I may just go with a Nano or a 30GB standard.
