3. I believe the hypothesis was: |
|
A big bag of goo dropped into a rat trap will explode in a fun, disgusting spray of scientific joy.
Turns out, it just gets caught in the rat trap.
However, further experimentation proved that the same bag of goo jumped upon by a fellow dorm dweller will project a rainbow of festive messiness on the far bathroom wall.

on why some poop floats and some sinks. It was shot down by the higher-ups. :(

I could almost guarantee it would have been the most popular project ever among fifth graders.

I'm pretty sure I have to assassinate one of my co-workers. She's neurotic on a Woody Allen level, without the mandatory Jewish sense of humor.

She's good! I brought her home yesterday around 12, less than 24 hrs after the brain surgery...I talked to my brother tonight, and he says she feels fine, her speech is improving (albeit slowly), BUT, everything tastes like crap. I'm worried about that, as Mrs. Sniffa's mom has had multiple brain surgeries, and she no longer can taste food really...I hope that's not the case with my mom, as she doesn't eat enough to begin with. One day at a time... :pals:

My cousin had the loss of taste thing for about 6 months after a tumor removal ...then one day it just came back full force. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing. ;) Did you hear...I got a KitchenAid stand mixer for x-mas! :o :woohoo:

Sniffa told me tonight that one of his sisters is giving us her set of dishes and serving dishes, w/ gravy boat, etc, since she's getting new ones...with that and the stock pot he asked for for Xmas, we're gonna be soooooo happy too! :bounce:
and yes, I really hope it's temporary...

15. Ok, you totally win with the gravy boat |
|
*I* don't have a gravy boat.
I can make you some genius gravy, but you will be served it in a bowl, for I am a savage without a gravy boat.
A propos of nothing; What's with Mel Gibson? I ain't impressed with your Aramaic and Myan shit...do some Sophocles or Aristophanes in the original Greek...I might be impressed. :D

16. Ha! I said the same thing re: the gravy boat! |
|
Sniffa asked me why I was so excited about that particular item, and I said "C'mon, it's so barbaric to serve it out of a tupperware bowl!!!"
We are severely lacking in serving dishes...plenty to eat off or out of, but not much to serve with.... x(
So yes, a major improvement, indeed :D
(and I don't even care that they're 'used') :D
And you are soooo right about Mel....Let's see some Horace and Catullus in original Latin, and then we'll talk :D

I'm watching Craig Ferguson's show right now and I just realized *the* greatest thing about the Scots: You can never tell if they're drunk, or just Scottish.

21. My mom's mom was born in Hungary |
|
My dad's dad was born in Scotland...so I've always said I'm Scottish-Hungarian.
Which is true.
What I *just* found out, however, is that my last name, McAlister, came about because some Hungarian princess/queen chick married this Scottish king/dude and she named her kid Alexander because she'd heard it in the Hungarian court and thought it was a swell name. Thus, his kids were "Mc" (son of) and the drunken Scots turned Alexander into "Alister". So I'm like f'REAL Hungarian/Scottish! Weird, eh? :D

You need to do some Hungarian-Scottish fusion cuisine, methinks....hmmmmm
We've made some Slovakian dishes here, some with success, some without... :P
