15. I just bought the DVD today - I haven't seen this since probably 1992
possibly even 1991.

I'd forgotten about the mime! But I've always remembered the part of that scene of Bruce Wayne standing and looking around while everyone else is ducking during the machine gun fire. I've tried to emulate that sense of calm ever since seeing it at the theater.

17. Yes, that calm
was very good, especially him shaking off that richochet that hit his arm...I've had that movie for a while...about 6yrs or so, still a classic. I was surprised that Keaton did such a good job, I thought he would tank the role, but he did good...he is only outshined by C. Bale(imo)....

18. That wasn't supposed to be calm
IIRC the director was going for near psychotic obsession on the part of Wayne.

20. Yeah, Keaton was a fantastic Batman. I, too, was very afraid of what he would do.
I was one of the people crying out "Not Keaton! Not Keaton!!"

But he was awesome.

Val Kilmer was just a piece of shit. Jesus, what a fucking sodoff loser fuck he is.

Clooney made a great Batman, too, esp. given that he had a script that was one of the worst fucking abominations to ever hit the screen. If he would have had a script as good as the first Keaton one, Clooney could have been Batman a few times. I think he had the right presence for Batman.

And Christian Bale - lordy lordy, he's a perfect Batman, too. I think I still prefer Keaton, though - he had the right intensity while managing to add in just a bit of the over-obsessed looniness/insanity that is Bruce Wayne.

21. I share your opinion here
except, I think Bale edges Keaton...by a smidge...since seeing American Psycho, I knew Bale could play the Batman/Wayne role well. I'm still shocked at how good Batman Begins was...
