So I saw this Judas Priest concert on VH1 Classic today
Reminded me of all the metal heads in high school and what would have happened to them had they known at the time that Rob was gay.

BTW, the concert was recorded this year and they freakin' rocked. :)

1. I didn't even know that Freddie Mercury of Queen was gay
I look back at this now and think 'how was that possible'?

And don't forget, Lemmy is bi. Is this some kind of underground phenomenon...

3. God is bi?
Hmmm, kind of makes it obvious what the REAL reason he made Adam and Eve was, doesn't it? :)

4. Metal heads seem to have no problems with Halford being gay
they freely use the term in a derogatory manner elsewhere, but as long as he's their metal god, he can do no wrong.

6. They don't seem to mind so much NOW,
but in the 1970's, I think he might have had a harder time if he had been out.

Rob is still one of my favorite metal vocalists. Damn, he's good.

I loooooove Judas Priest. Saw them for the first time finally a couple of years ago at Ozzfest in Chicago. Slayer was right before them, talk about heaven :)

I've known Robert is gay but I LOVE him even if he does not like us chicks.

On edit: JP has some great provacative lyrics. Hearing Robert sing them with that incredible voice. meow!!!!

7. I am a loooonnnnggg way from a metalhead and yet
I like Judas Priest. Saw them many years ago in concert and it was great when Halford came roaring out the dragon's mouth on his Harley. And as far as his being gay, I think most people already knew that. At least the people I know. Who cares? That band was a helluva metal band and Halford was the recognizable guy.

8. I didn't know Halford was gay until someone told me
They had a really good laugh at my expense. My gaydar is really bad.
